Hmmmmmm..

You ever had a thought when you were younger that you just thought was so stupid and useless that ANYONE who even considered whatever it was was either brain-dead or just a homosexual. Then a while after that you find yourself stroking your imaginary beard thinking ...hmmm i could try that. It's weird how our mentalities change. Yall ever get one of those? ...oh you dont. Just me? Really? Well it doesn't have to be something like doing drugs or sex or whatever. Maybe something like getting something like an iphone. When i was younger i used to think anyone who had expensive-ass phones or computers were self absorbed and preppy. But today stuff like the iphones and 3-d computers make up for looking snobby by just being fucking awesome. (Cmon, who doesn't want to watch youtube videos in 3-d??!?!?) Anywho it's not limited to just that. Have you ever thought expensive stuff was for the blondes or the preps?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

You all remember when you were younger, that you would always hear that it's not what's on the outside that matters, but on the inside? Well that's all nice and peachy, but they would always make it seem like caring about how you look was stuck up or just bad. So when i was a kid i established an extremely strict $5 budget for buying clothing. I would always tell myself that whoever shops for their own clothes was gay. That they were insecure about something so they needed to shop for better clothes to feel better about themselves. Then come middle school i realized something: what if someone just wants to look nice? It was unheard of! Weren't people who cared about how they looked shallow and insecure? As a matter of fact, they weren't, and they aren't. But dont you see how the mentality changed there? Is it something about maturity that just changes our minds? Or being around other people will just open you up to new things? Or maybe my parents are putting something in my food...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

When i was younger i would always have the short, buzzed, flat-top haircut. And so did my brother. Hey, we were asians. What else are you going to do? Well one day, my brother decided to grow his hair out. My dad was outraged. He fucking exploded to him in the biggest, protective-asian-parent, stuck up speech of his life. He told us about how he was embarrassed to be seen with him, how his hair was insulting to our relatives, and how it showed signs of "rebellion". (Yes, our parents' golden word.) So because of that nice little brainwashing session, i was taught to think that having clean cut hair is the only way to be a good person. Then EPIPHANY!! People who have long hair aren't rebellious, (well i guess they could be), but they just didn't want to have short hair!! Who would've thought??? :O

I guess i've just been brought up the asian-way. Secluded from the rest of the world. Brainwashed to believe that having unkept hair, more than $5 clothing, and phones from this decade was evil..or disrespectful..or homosexual. Have yall ever had that problem? Or i guess im just the odd one out. Meh.
